    Endgame.

If you look at the overall picture, BlackBerry at $7 would still be far overvalued.

    I forgot one aspect:

Canso diluted shareholders by 30.2 million shares.

Friday will be the fifth consecutive awful quarter under John Chen. My assumption since January:

    Revenue down to $710 million
    GAAP loss around $120 million
    Cash down to $2.4 billion
User number falling to 37 million
    Devices sold around 1.7 million

John Chen could resign after the share price collapse.

"This is when I became very bearish. I figured that if virtually none of the 80 million BlackBerry faithful would adopt the new phone, that nobody would."

Under John Chen, the user number collapsed to 41 million last quarter (see the filing). How low will it be on Friday? I would think 37 million at best.

  • Apple: Debunking The Recent Cowen Survey [View article]
Visit airport electronics shops in Europe. Customers line up for the iPhone 6, not the Galaxy S6.

Kantar and ComScore figures show that since the iPhone 6 was released, Android market share declines and iOS market share rises. In any case, market share is less relevant here compared to the formidable margin Apple makes on their devices.

All is well, unlike in Canada, where BlackBerry is in terminal decline : )

He is not a serial poster. It is a MACHINE talking to a MACHINE (with a defunct caps-lock key).

Too few people to make a viable business valued around $10.

No. There isn't. You have to keep using your Passport until Judgement Day in that case.

"I often hear BlackBerry bulls extol the virtues of BlackBerry's security, and it's possible that it's even better than Apple's. But if the U.S. government can't break Apple's security, how much better does it need to be? The adoption of iOS by enterprise already provides the answer: BlackBerry's much-lauded security offers little added value."

Even if it does offer something - it no longer matters. MWC 2015 showed BlackBerry is out of the conversation. The long and agonising terminal decline may likely morph into the endgame after Friday.

  • Microsoft launches $70 Lumia 430 [View news story]
Try Cortana in German, Spanish, Swedish, Japanese - good luck! Similarly, find essential municipal, travel, shopping apps in these languages/countries - good luck!

The thing is: there is no technical problem to be addressed here - but Microsoft's "America first!" approach is not quite helpful, particularly to win over those millions of former Nokia users. After all, only 3.6% of Nokia's sales occurred in the U.S. The focus and attitude has been wrong all along since Larry Lieberman and Terry Myerson promised dedication in 2010 only to never deliver.

    "Blackberry mobiles are back."

With less devices sold, how can that be? Please explain.

"BBRY now has a diversified array of high value products/services."

What would these be? As per the last quarterly report, BlackBerry is in exactly the same four business segments as years before, with the single difference that two additional devices have been launched since Q3.

Please enlighten us about the "diversified array", because I can neither find it in corporate literature nor corporate press dockets.

    Sorry, but no...

    "3. Software

Corporate revenue definition: Fees from licensed BES software, client access licenses, technical support, maintenance and upgrades and QNX software licensing

Software revenue fell under Heins and continues to do so under Chen, although BlackBerry keeps insinuating at every occasion the supposedly huge monetization potential of QNX and the Internet of Things aka "IoT". Clearly, the industrial reality and BlackBerry's visions are totally incoherent; shareholder value was and is not created here."

I rather believe we will see software revenue finally breaking below the $50m barrier on the 27th.
