    Congratulations!

You bear all the responsibilities and costs, while Uber collects a substantial cut for running some servers and an app. You are out there, all on your own. Uber is in there, all on the money.

Why, if I may ask, do you drive for Uber? Do you see this as long-time job that generates sufficient income?

I see nothing but profits, year after year, and a dividend to boot.

By the way - how are your Samsung or LG Electronics shares doing this year? Or are you still holding HTC or - god forbid - Philips?

"If you can stand their artificial sound."

Please enlighten us. What system will provide the "real sound". You know, the one and only? That company must enjoy an enormous, an ever increasing share price!

    "...Apple's just another toy company."

And a very good one at that, compared to Hasbro, Mattel, Toys R Us, et al. Too bad you missed the boat, I feel for you. Some day, you get over it and the sun will shine for you, too.

You can show-off portable products with brand identity. Which is why most users buy branded portable goods.

You can hardly show off a 4k TV at home, can you?

I think it is excellent news that Apple is not entering this hopeless business sector.

Sweden, a country of only 9.8m people - not much more than New York City - is home to the highest density of large businesses - a formidable highly educated capitalist nation: IKEA, H&M, Ericsson, Atlas Copco, SKF, Volvo, Astra Zeneca, King Entertainment, Electrolux, Spotify, Assa Abloy come to mind. With the highest number of immigrants per capita, Sweden sports one of the most diversified populaces in Europe and, according to Wired and the FT, is one of the most digitalised nations in the West.

Good luck with your stereotyping; there's an app for that ; )

    Another non-actionable article, as usual.

TVs are ultra low margin. TVs have a slow replacement cycle. TVs have hardly any quality ultra HD content to display. TVs fall slowly out of fashion in many western societies.

Content is king. Hardware is plebs.

"And they aren't jamming on the brakes for every car or pedestrian..."

They actually coast along jerky as hell or go as slow as a cyclist. Have you seen the valiant efforts by Audi and Mercedes in proper traffic?

"the reason you are finding Uber drivers who love their work is because almost all of them are new to it, and few realize the costs and obligations with which they are burdened"

All responsibilities and vehicle costs (depreciation, fuel, maintenance, gasoline, passenger safety) are offloaded on the driver.

All Uber does is: Collect money, kicking out drivers at will, getting new ones on board, the obscure pricing model determined by Uber. A most unethical and immoral proto-Soviet "business".

    -

As for AirBnB: In many European cities, tenants already get kicked out of their property, so that beer swigging youth and hipsters can holiday on the cheap. Rents go up in inner city districts and many rental accommodations disappear from the free market, to become illegal "hotels". Anti-community business for the benefit of a few cronies at its best.

Last of all: What about those many citizens that have no good car or swanky appartment to use in this so-called "sharing economy" - an economy where actually less is shared and the individual singled out, on their own, bidding on apps for the lowest offer - in order for VCs and their ilk to milk the cow?

Absolutely. TOM2 has been a great stock over the last 12 months. Many good deals came in and the technologic outlook is good. Definitely a business to own.

I am not sure Satya Nadella will overpay for HERE, like Steve Ballmer overpaid for D&S.

"Uber is currently at the forefront of offering convenient personal transport."

Uber is currently at the forefront to enrich its owners and early stage investors by seducing low-income people to take on a third job besides their already existing two, pocketing an outrageous premium, while offloading duty, availability, responsibility and core costs to the hapless driver.

An app and a server farm are all it takes. Anti-capitalist crony businesses like Uber, fuelled by boundless greed of venture capitalists, law firms and well-oiled political lobbyists must be banned, similar to AirBnB and other anti-social endeavours.

The most uninformed article on the automotive, freight and logistics industry I have read in a long time.
