    With the increase in on-demand video subscription services, Netflix's margins and profitability will decrease. Unless it transitions into an HBO like service, in which it would have exclusive rights to content, it will continue to become less and less profitable due to the bidding war of content.

    For years, HBO was driven by one or two popular shows. HBO did not license these programs out, they kept them only accessible to HBO subscribers. With original programming in the works, Netflix can work the same way.
