Arjun Rudra » Profile

My name is Arjun Rudra and I'm 24 years young and have a degree in Criminology from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. My passion for capital markets and especially resources was ignited 2 1/2 years ago and since then I have kept a close eye on industry trends and parlayed that knowledge into a decent yearly return.

I blog about equities, finance, commodities, resources, mining, speculation, gold, silver, nickel, uranium, crude oil, natural gas and the capital markets in general from a Canadian standpoint. You'll also fine research summaries, CEO and Analyst interviews and news related to the mining and energy sector.

Investing Thesis: Credits Toward Financial Freedom We describe an ‘Investing Thesis’ as the rationale underpinning the making of an investment. You can have a number of investing theses, ranging from the micro level such as having an investing thesis for a particular stock, option or futures contract, all the way up to the macro level, where your investment thesis might help in determining which asset class (be it equities, real estate, commodities bonds etc.) might provide superior investment returns. In other words, having an ‘Investing Thesis’ can not only give you the basis for making an investment but it can also provide you with an understanding of how that investment will generate returns in the context of your larger ‘Investment Thesis.’ Having an ‘Investment Thesis’ also helps us focus our investments and disallow deviations based on impulsivity, and populist beliefs amongst other things.

The only caveat to our ‘Investing Thesis’ follows in the musings of John Maynard Keynes, who said "When the facts change, I change my mind. What do you do, sir?"

Founded in December 2009, Investing Thesis provides individual investors with the information needed to make investment decisions. We publish articles and syndicated content feeds of original interviews, summary analyst reports and insights into the everyday machinations of the capital markets. We feature knowledgeable experts and speak to a large number of very savvy readers through direct and indirect feeds.
