Jeez, why is everyone so hyped about an iTV? TVs are cheap commodities without carrier subsidies. Nobody would buy it.

    • smokeyRose: The I Zombies Do they will Line up like mindless Huminoids and Camp out over Night with Their Steve jobs look alike shirts on!!! Sad no

    • TruffelPig: @Ashraf - you are wrong. AAPL has enough cash to be the dominating multi media company in the world. Its not about the TV.
      12/6/12
    • Ashraf Eassa: @ TruffelPig - How much of that cash is liquid?
      12/6/12
    • TruffelPig: About 30% are in the US. You can always bum money for nothing against assets these days.
      12/6/12
    • Whitehawk: Agree, there are so many ways to get content, and cheap at that. Apple will not dominate the space, period.

    • smokeyRose: They sell One Kinda thing That in Reality No One Actually Needs. they are all Un-plugable items. they need to span into other Directions

    • weed: $APPL really has no choice. They can't very well ignore video. The complete ecosystem is their real product.
      12/6/12
    • TruffelPig: I agree with weed - the multi media cloud is the ecosystem.

    • smokeyRose: How Bout An Apple car???? Or an Apple House??? Or an Apple Airline???

    • Buffet_or_Broke: The TV space will be disrupted much like the music industry was. Content will be king. The iTV may not even be a device.

    • smokeyRose: Yes very true

    • anonymous1111: I saw a rumor that the Apple TV would be price 1500-200, 42-55". Makes no sense to me though. Apple makes premium and that's cheap for a TV.
      12/6/12
    • Buffet_or_Broke: They still can't price something completely out of the market. Unlike iPad and Iphone where they created a market, and others undercut them.
      12/6/12
    • Buffet_or_Broke: I'm just not convinced it's actually a TV, but at the same time all TV has ever been is a monitor. Content has always been trapped in a box.
      12/6/12
    • anonymous1111: TV sets are competitively priced. No 50%+ margin for Apple at those rumored prices.

    • anonymous1111: People fantasies are that Apple will make one with a revolutionary interface. Really they just wish someone made a remote that worked.
      12/6/12
    • weed: No doubt the iTV remote will be your wireless apple device of choice. I can control my XBMC pc with an android app so it's nothing new.

    • ewmpsi: MSFT has the content deals AAPL wants, cable Co's, networks and media conglomerates fear AAPLs dominance, they'd rather play with Mr. Softee
      12/7/12
    • Buffet_or_Broke: What content deals does MSFT have?
      12/7/12
    • TruffelPig: Why don't you Bing it ;P.
      12/7/12
    • Buffet_or_Broke: I googled it just to spite you! I am amazed how unaware of this I was.

    • weed: Though I mostly dislike $MSFT, they did get the Xbox 360 right.

    • TruffelPig: Xbox is the single good microsoft product left. And I did love MSFT years ago for being visionary.
