Lenovo Yoga is sold out everywhere. Great for $INTC, but kinda stinks for me.

    • Duke67: Lenovo Yoga sounds like a hot notebook for next 2-3 years, one could however prefer X1 Carbon Touch, as it's actually a reliable Thinkpad...

    • Grand Nagus Kelly: I just got a Samsung with an I5 processor. Fast but Windows 8 sucks. Being long INTC I could not in good conscience get a Mac.

    • ewmpsi: is it a win8 rig or winRT? I like both, but what about 8 sucks for u?

    • anonymous1111: I thought about getting a Yoga. The one Best Buy sells for $999.99 is a good deal. I always saw them in stock until recent.

    • Minutemen: What sucks about Win8 is the Frankenstein Metro/Desktop modes. I will not buy Win 8 for this reason. Just bought a new desktop with Win7.

    • Duke67: I found that combination rather fine. You just need to adopt a few new UI conventions to handle both of it quickly.

    • Duke67: Also, the full power of the new W8 can only be seen on touch-enabled devices, so and buy Yoga or Carbon Touch or whatever and have fun.

    • anonymous1111: I installed Win8 on my desktop and 99% of the time I don't see metro. I'm working just like I would have on Win7.

    • Minutemen: Say your browsing the web in Metro, then switch to desktop to work. You're browsing sessions aren't available. Have to either open new...

    • Minutemen: ...browsing session in desktop or switch back to metro. Really a pain and dumb. I don't like it at all and this will be a dealkiller.

    • Ashraf Eassa: Don't browse the web in Metro :-)

    • Minutemen: I'll wait for Win9. Maybe MS will get their act together by then. Very disappointed with Win8.

    • ewmpsi: Well I use WinXP at home and Win7 at work I'll be upgrading to Win7 at home soon and get a Win8 tablet late next year, I love it on a tablet

    • Minutemen: I agree that Win8 for tablet use is pretty nice. My complaint is only with the Frankenstein monster of Metro/Desktop mode.

    • ewmpsi: Win9 may have MS patent pending for 3D tiles (cubes) you rotate for more "live" content on each side, you'll be ticked-off in 3D :-)

    • anonymous1111: I never browse the web in metro. I find that view annoying on a desktop. Only time I see metro is when I click "start" so to speak.
      12/20/12
    • anonymous1111: After clicking start I see metro but I still simply type the name of the application then click enter so not really different than Win7.
