    • liahos1: let us know subjectively how these bay trail tablets are performing. the extremetech comments on the toshiba 8 inch ]seemed sort of fudish.

    • Ashraf Eassa: liahos1 - oh you bet...can't say more right now, but you will be pleased with the coverage.

    • liahos1: francois at intel talking smack on the posted LG2 s800 benches. im really excited to baytrail. the amount of pessimism on intel is crazy!

    • Bob987654321: you go Ash ! Always great to read you, have fun :)

    • Ashraf Eassa: @ liahos1 - I take it you refer to all of the $INTC hatred we deal with on the AT forums? :-)

    • Ashraf Eassa: @ Bob987654321 - thanks!

    • liahos1: ya its tiring dealing with some of these guys. 2 years from now im going to troll all of them based on past posts predicting intel's demise

    • Ashraf Eassa: SiliconWars is the worst...

    • liahos1: ya he's so unwilling to even concede intel has even the smallest possible chance haha

    • Ashraf Eassa: Yeah. I remember when some guy posted his impressions of S800 v.s. BYT, he said a ~60% perf delta wasn't possible...lol

    • Ashraf Eassa: While I of course want to see real, independent results, the benchmarks that have leaked look very impressive on the CPU.

    • liahos1: yes agreed. and the gpu is going to be more than good enough for all the games out there. nobody building games only s800 can play.
      9/7/13
    • Ashraf Eassa: That's very correct. Anybody building games wants to be able to reach the broadest audience.

    • liahos1: and assuming battery life is superior...its a home run in my book. 400 dollar hybrid w8/android tablet with amazing battery life

    • Jomamaiscool: Ashraf - Did some very loose math based on your transistor density article... if BT mntns the 0.008 density it'll have 208m in a 26mm pkg.
      9/8/13
    • Jomamaiscool: Some previous gen Atoms had 180m transistors in a 80mm package. Looks really good.
      9/8/13
    • Jomamaiscool: the 26mm is for the smaller chips as well... in 52mm it'll have 400+m transistors.

    • Maulik Patel: what are AT forums?
