Do none of the $AAPL bulls slamming me for my recent article not realize $SSNLF.PK will eclipse $AAPL's net income shortly?

    • Energysystems: Silencio!! According to them, falling margins, falling profits, and falling market share don't matter either ;)

    • Julius Ferraro: You should read some of the comments from the article I wrote. Just ridiculous. Curious to know what phone your using. Thanks.

    • wigit5: Julius, Ash is the proud owner of a iPhone 5S... despite it not having Intel inside I might add :P but yet hes just an $INTC pumper to some
      11/7/13
    • Ashraf Eassa: iPhone 5S. Love the thing. Don't love the stock.
      11/7/13
    • Bill Maurer: So if you don't love Apple stock, with an enormous buyback and decent growth, how can you love $INTC trading at 10% more than $AAPL.
      11/7/13
    • Bill Maurer: Just bringing up the facts here...
      11/7/13
    • Julius Ferraro: Wow. I assumed you were an android user. Recently switched to the note 3 from the 5 and loving it. I'd buy the stock closer to 400
      11/7/13
    • wigit5: I think the market differentiation gives intel the edge although I'm long both currently one way or another... Intel sells chips, Apple sell
      11/7/13
    • wigit5: consumer products, which just as they rose to fame could fall to infamy... I think it'll be harder for competition to take Intel out.
      11/7/13
    • Ashraf Eassa: @ Bill - You focus too much on today's numbers. Intel has plenty of growth ahead of it...does Apple?
      11/7/13
    • Ashraf Eassa: @ Julius - was an Android user for a long time, but switched to $AAPL. No plans on going back anytime soon.
      11/7/13
    • Bill Maurer: Intel has to get back to 2011 levels first, which they can't even demonstrate they can. Apple is hitting new highs after new highs.
      11/7/13
    • Ashraf Eassa: @ Bill Maurer - They'll blow right past 2011 levels in 2014.
      11/7/13
    • wigit5: How is Apple hitting new highs?
      11/7/13
    • Bill Maurer: Obviously wall street would disagree with you, as 2014 estimates are at new lows and trending lower.
      11/7/13
    • Bill Maurer: And still have over $3 billion to make up for in the net income record category. Assuming more plunged into capex, cash flow is a ???
      11/7/13
    • Bill Maurer: Which is why I had people on my $INTC article today claiming that the company should suspend the dividend AND buyback right now.
      11/7/13
    • Michael Blair: I think it passed Apple in income last quarter.
      11/7/13
    • J Mintzmyer: Problem with your reasoning is that vertical integration isn't always a great thing. Downfall of $GM was partially due to over v-int.
      11/7/13
    • J Mintzmyer: $AAPL can shop around for cheapest provider of components and avoid massive capex. More "retail/design" risk, but less enterprise risk.
      11/7/13
    • wjamison: I for one appreciate your perspective and believe that Apple would do well to pay some attention to it.
      11/7/13
    • bgold1955: Big deal. Who cares?
      11/7/13
    • bgold1955: I don't believe or respect anything Samsung says. They are not the most ethical corp around.

    • Analytical Chemist: Isn't that like saying Dominion Resources doesn't make as much money as Berkshire Hathaway?

    • iOS7 needs to revolutinize: The market is big enough to have 2 extremely successful phone companies.
      11/8/13
    • iOS7 needs to revolutinize: If there can be 100s of profitable car co's then why can't Apple be profitable while having a few competitors?
      11/8/13
    • iOS7 needs to revolutinize: Bears always draw this gloomy picture as if Apple is going bankrupt. That backlash to your article was somewhat deserved.
      11/8/13
    • wigit5: Ash never said it was going bankrupt just that competition is there and will have an impact on AAPL.
      11/8/13
    • iOS7 needs to revolutinize: Also Samsung sells an array of products and not just a few gadgets. They should be earning.
      11/8/13
    • iOS7 needs to revolutinize: They should be earning more. If Apple had such product line up they would be a Trillion $ company.
      11/8/13
    • wigit5: So Samsung is more diversified and therefore less vulnerable to single market revolutions? Sounds like your making the case for Sam > Apple
      11/8/13
    • iOS7 needs to revolutinize: Samsung being more diversified does not mean it's a threat to Apple in the consumer product (gadgets) space.
      11/8/13
    • wigit5: Sure it does... it means Samsung can accept lower margins on phones/gadgets as profits from other sectors make up for the difference.
      11/8/13
    • iOS7 needs to revolutinize: Looking at the recent pricing of Samsung products it seems like they want become a luxury brand rather than sell their products.....
      11/8/13
    • iOS7 needs to revolutinize: @low margins. S4 is about the same as iP5 s, Galaxy note is more costly than iPad Air.
      11/8/13
    • iOS7 needs to revolutinize: Apparently maintaing a brand image matters to Samsung, at which Apple is king.

    • Alex Cho: Holy cow, Ashraf, you just knocked over a bees nest.
      11/10/13
    • Ashraf Eassa: @ Alex - yeah...ugh.
