Avi Fogel

Avi is a board member at New York Angels, and runs its education committee. He's also a board member at the Israel Venture Network (IVN), a social venture / philanthropy organization, a board member at Localytics - a leading mobile app analytics company and a board member at CoursHorse - a NYC based SaaS provider of adult class listing, registration and fulfilment.

Avi runs and owns Majorlee Investments- a family wealth fund, where he spends much of his time early-stage investing in tech startups (in conjunction with two angel groups- New York Angels and Launchpad Venture Group of Boston) and analyzing and trading in public equities and derivatives.

Avi started his career as an officer in the Israeli ...More Defense Forces smart weapons development program, which he left as a major, after eight years.

He has since led 4 startups, in networking, residential gateways, intrusion prevention and enterprise software - where he has seen 6 liquidity events (2 ipo's, 4 M&A's).

Avi received a B.Sc.E.E from the Technion, Israeli institute of Technology and an MBA, Summa Cum Laude, with a dual major in entrepreneurship and finance, from Babson College.

Avi resides in Manhattan, but spends part of his time in Boston and Tel Aviv.
