Unemployment: Here to Stay

In response to some of the comments, here is a look at some other measures of labor underutilization in Friday's employment report that support the case for more job losses:

Unemployed + discouraged + marginally attached workers = 9.3%

and the key figure:

unemployed + discouraged + marginally attached + employed part-time because no full-time jobs available = 14.8%!

As more full-time jobs are lost and the part-time job positions filled, the actual unemployment rate will rise to my 10% projection.
