If you were put in charge of those decisions, what would you drop?

  • How Are Amazon's Long-Term Prospects Tracking Predictions? [View article]
So Paulo, what's your view on what happens to Amazon in the event of a big ol' stock price crash? Let's say tomorrow that a bunch of wall street analysts see your side of thing and lower the boom on 'em. Would the company continue to exist under new management designed to return them to profitability, or would the whole thing go belly up and the pieces sold to whoever could get them?

I almost worry that Amazon customers have become so used to having low prices and free shipping handed to them on a silver platter that any moves designed to bring in profits would destroy their customer base.

So between this and Tesla's continuing drop in North American shipments, you're having a banner bear day.

  • T-Mobile Q3 Earnings: Are Investors 'Getting More'? [View article]
I think one thing that would help is if the constant search for someone to buy T-Mobile could just stop. I think the company isn't going to get another windfall of breakup fees from failed sales just because there's noone left who'd be foolhardy enough to try, and so it now either stands or falls on its own.

This is one IPO I'd actually consider buying. Rokus are pretty dang awesome.

  • Part Of Amazon.com's Core Is Dying [View article]
I almost wonder if they'd be better off like Barnes & Noble and having 1) someone else develop their Kindles as a partnership and 2) having the Amazon app store available alongside the Google Play store.

Probably wouldn't happen, but it would make their Android offerings more compelling.

I keep waiting for someone to make a play for them, just because if you're Microsoft or Google or Apple, 76 million users is nothing to sneeze at.

  • The Death Of The iPad? [View article]
If the iPhone was going down sequentially the way the iPad has been, THEN I'd be worried about Apple stuff.

Buuuut they aren't, so I'm not.

And I'm a dyed in the wool Windows Phone/Surface fanatic, and even I'll tell you, Apple ain't goin' nowhere.

  • The Death Of The iPad? [View article]
I'd agree that Apple is better off selling a high priced iPhone 6 Plus than a $249 iPad Mini.

"Such a breakdown would allow investors and analysts to evaluate whether IBM is truly making progress against Amazon Web Services, Google, and Microsoft Azure on the infrastructure and platform front."

And that's why they won't do it.

  • Solving The Mystery Of 10 By 10 - How Does A Dividend Growth Investor Get From Point A To Point B? [View article]
I DRIP, but that's for the reason that at my current stage of things, I'm only able to put in 500 dollars every couple of months, and to wait for dividends to pile up to 500 would take at least two years. I could see myself switching to selective reinvestment, but it'll take a while.

That's gotta smart for all of the employees and customers sacrificed on the altar of the 20 dollar target: they didn't even make it.
