Benjamin Mackovak

Benjamin Mackovak is the Portfolio Manager for Cavalier Capital LLC. Cavalier Capital is a hedge fund that is designed to capitalize on the structural inefficiencies found in the stock market. The fund offers a differentiated approach to equity long/short investing in two key areas; size and concentration. Cavalier Capital is a deliberately small fund that uses its size and nimbleness to pursue opportunities that are generally unavailable to most other funds. The Fund utilizes value investing principles and rigorous analysis to invest in attractive companies that are ignored by the rest of Wall Street.

Prior to founding Cavalier Capital, Mr. Mackovak was the Senior Analyst at Rivanna Capital in Charlottesville, ...More Virginia. As a generalist, he covered all industries in search of long and short ideas. Prior to this, Mr. Mackovak worked for First American Capital Management, a large cap money manager in Newport Beach, California. Prior to First American Capital Management, he worked for Merrill Lynch. Mr. Mackovak earned his M.B.A. from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Finance from Kent State University.
