  • Canadian Acquisitions: QLT Inc. Fits The Trend [View article]
I have owned QLT for about 14 months, since the new board took over. I can confirm that the Chairman is working for shareholders, of which he is one. Agree with your point on multiple ways to win, I think the jurisdiction of QLT in Canada will make it attractive to a buyer, whether or not they take retinoid (which I believe has much value). I did not sell a share on the move up.

  • Masonite: An Unknown And Undervalued Building Products Company With Over 50% Upside [View article]
True, but cash from exercise would reduce net debt and offset a meaningful amount of the dilution. Assuming 7.5x $350mm, warrant proceeds would reduce net debt to about $30mm, so you get to $78ish per share. Also, the warrants have a cashless exercise option, which, assuming a $75 share price would increase the share count by 1.6mm shares as opposed to 5mm shares. So yes there is some incremental dilution but not a lot.
