Bidness Etc thinks that Apple has huge potential in emerging markets and introducing lower priced phones (near $250) will help them capture market share in China etc. We are not fans of 5C prices. Please read our article on iPhone 5C: http://bit.ly/17xmqNW

Bidness Etc agrees with you. We are bullihs on the stock. However, one needs to realized that Apple's major end markets are near maturity (smartphones and PC/lap tops). Yes they have amazing products but competition has catched up and that's why growth will slow down. At the same time its valuation multiples are not pricing in any growth, hence making a good risk to reward ratio in case of Apple.

That was the concern and that's why the stock was down despite beating estimates and almost every sell side analyst coming up with positive post release comments.

Market is concerned about a potential decline in gross margins as ASPs decline. Stock traded down almost $20 on this, after reporting earnings, in the post market trading. Bidness Etc thinks these concerns are priced in and are reflected in AAPL's cheap valuations (P/E ex cash is below 10x). We probably wont see big jumps in the stock price untill new product launches or a larger than expected buyback announcement.

  • Mondelēz International - Packed Full Of Opportunities [View article]
Dear Burt, coffee is a pass-through commodity. Any changes in input costs are passed on to the consumers through higher pricing. Mondeléz International owns coffee brands such as CARTE NOIRE and VELOURS NOIR and any change in coffee prices impact the company’s revenue growth.

Its unfair to say that the company has failed to meet expectations as they did beat adjusted EPS in 2 out of the last 3 quarters. It even beat the estimates by 8.5% last quarter. Furthermore, it is also taking initiatives like local production in emerging markets which would further help the company improve productivity. Bidness Etc is bullish on the stock.

  • Copper: No Longer A Good Conductor For Profits [View article]
Thank you RonK2. Please realize that COMEX makes up only 4% of the global known exchange inventory levels. This makes COMEX inventory levels irrelevant to copper prices. The 4 month drop in copper inventory levels on LME is beacuse of the rise in warrant cancellations. They have recently risen to 47.74%. Please note that Chinese inventory levels (SHFE) are signaling a potential destocking wave as well.

For the same reason FCX has diversified into Oil & Gas Exploration business with the acquisition of Plains Exploration & Production Company (PXP) and McMoRan Exploration Company (MMR). These acquisitions were debt finance which has weakened FCX's balance sheet. Please have a look at Bidness Etc's piece on FCX: http://bit.ly/17jRf8M
