  • Good Times Ahead For Nokia Investors [View article]
Considering the cash reserves its has (more than 50% of market cap), we dont think it will be in a situation where cash burn is large enough to lead to equity/debt offerings, thanks

It will trade on 2014 expected EPS. Considering its betaen down badly and is just trading at its patents value, one can expect a significant rebound once the sales nos for Lumia are out. Thanks

  • Apple Is Trading At 60-75% Premium To Its Sum Of Parts Valuation [View article]
The iPhone 5 has competition from S3 and Lumia 920, while both wont sell as much as iPhone 5 but still the profit margins would shrink in the long run (Apple will have to integrate more expensive technologies in iPhone to compete) On the other hand there are dozens on generic tablets in the market and Nexus, Kindle, Surface and Galaxy are very solid competitors to iPad or rumored iPad mini. We believe in such a highly competitive market profit margins will come down so will growth targets and therefore it warrants valuations more in line with industry

Everyone thinks that AAPL is not expensive because sell side is expecting growth rates to be too high. Once they revise down their numbers, it will start looking expensive.

We though SoTP analysis is required here as now AAPL operates in a highly competitive market

  • Buy Tesla As Model X Gets Government Support [View article]
Tesla has already announced that it will not meet its production target and the stock fell on this news. Therefore, the stock has already factored in the slow production news. Yes there are concerns regarding 2013 production of 20,000 Model S cars. But one can sense that had Tesla not been on 2013 target, Tesla would have announced the delay for 2013 on the same day as well.
The profits depend on the production rate. Everyone knows and admits that Model S is in high demand and therefore it is the supply issue and not the demand issue that has tinted the stock price. Given that the production looks according to the target, profits will be made in 2013.

  • Annaly Capital's Dividend Cut, Falling Interest Rate Margins, Prepayment Risks Are Worrisome [View article]
The biggest risk is a hike from fed which is still 2 years away. If there is some liquidity crisis mReits will get crushed. In case of NLY, leverage is low hence one can expect some sort of dividend floor in the short term. But too many people are just simply too bullish on mreits and even analyst downgrades and dividend cuts are not hurting the stocks. TWO cut its dividend and the stock was up, NLY did the cut and stock was up. Some disturbance on the dividend front was already built into the stock prices and reality is they all still offer very high yields and market thinking keep chasing it. Unless this psychology changes we wont see a big sell off.

  • This Cash Flow Machine Offers A Stable 8.6% Dividend Yield [View article]

  • Intel: A Value Stock To Buy For Dividends, Earnings Growth [View article]
The cheap valuations along with a hefty dividend yield make INTC a great stock for long term investors.
There are many catalysts for the short-term too including windows 8, the deal with ASML which will put INTC in a better position in the smart devices market. The growth rates for this market will be pretty high and price earnings multiple can expand.

  • Which Weight Loss Drug Manufacturer Should You Buy? [View article]
A lot of profit taking going on in ARNA which gives you a good entry point. OREX is way too early a play on weight loss drugs and can trade much lower as the ARNA's FDA approval hype fades away. VVUS is a better play than OREX. Combined, ARNA and VVUS can take a major chunk of this huge market and by the time OREX enters margins would be way lower.

  • 3 Dogs Of The Dow To Buy, 1 To Avoid [View article]
Rushed, if a company is buying back its stock its generally considered a positive signal. Even in the case of PG, the share buybacks will result in additional capital appreciation on top of the cash dividends. The leverage ratio will improve further.
PG's forward p/e is just 15x, considering double digit growth in bottom line its not expensive.
Also, the cash flows are strong enough to continue buybacks as well as the dividend payouts. Look at the mentioned free cash flow yield. Thanks

  • Vringo: Winning Against Google Is The Only Solution [View article]
Even updating the share count figures will not have any impact on the perspective about this company. According to the most quarterly statement available the equity is in negative numbers and liabilities out weigh the assets. There is not reason for the stock to trade around $5 except speculation of a positive outcome from Google vs. Vringo. The outcome of patent infringements is almost impossible to predict and that in my perspective makes this a gamble stock. I have already written about the brilliant and relevant team behind the case. That too only improves their chances of winning the case but does give a guarantee that it will. If you have a heavy risk appetite go for it.
