Bill Allen is currently a freelance financial journalist in the San Francisco Bay Area. He previously worked as a biomedical engineer and research assistant at the VA Medical Center in Palo Alto, CA, and as an operations manager at Embark.com, an educational software provider (acquired by the Princeton Review in 2001).



For the last several years, he has produced his own online investment newsletter/blog, One Investor's View. Bill has a BS in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University and is a Level 2 candidate for the CFA Charterholder accreditation.
