I suspect this acquisition was made to block Apple from getting it's hands on Waze rather than to improve Google's current offering.
Google already has a great product, Apple does not and its attempt to launch their own nav solution completely backfired.
Now it is back to the drawing board for the company and Google gets to keep the edge for at least another year or two. What do you think?
