Bob Grunewald is the co-founder of Cicero Capital Partners, a multi-strategy hedge fund focused on the financial services sector. He has over 25 years of experience in the capital markets, including private equity, investment banking and the debt and equity capital markets. Previously, he founded the Financial Services private equity investment practice at American Capital where he committed over $1 billion of capital generating a realized return of 18% through year-end 2009. Mr. Grunewald developed the business plan, hired the investment team and founded American Capital Agency Corp. (Nasdaq: AGNC) an agency mortgage REIT with over $3 billion in assets. Prior to American Capital he was Head of Specialty Finance Investment Banking at Wachovia Securities where he completed numerous public debt and equity raises as well as M&A assignments for clients throughout the specialty finance industry. Mr. Grunewald serves on the Board of Core Financial Group, a diversified commercial finance company and is on the Development Board for Washington Jesuit Academy. He attended the University of Notre Dame, where he received a BBA in Finance and later received an MBA from Georgia State University.
