    Tony, You are right that the tank does take up more space for CNG storage. It is not unstable though. It mixes evenly in the air since it is a gaseous fuel and is less likely to auto-ignite on hot surfaces than gasoline. It has a high auto-ignition temperature (540 °C) and a narrow range (5%-15%) of flammability.

  • Bakken Update: Well Spacing Defined, Production Outlined [View article]
    In the delaware basin area of the Permian, Concho Resources (CXO), seems to be the standout. They production rates are increasing at a higher rate than that of their competitors and they recently acquired some new leaseholds in the bone springs area. CXO now has 420,000 acres under lease in the Delaware Basin and working interest of around 60%. Concho’s wells keeping getting bigger and better and is definitely the play in the Delaware Basin.

  • Chesapeake Energy Is Making A Lot Of The Right Moves [View article]
    CHK claims they are bullish on intermediate and long term natural gas yet they are reducing their number of gas rigs and reallocating capital to liquid plays. Only time will tell with CHK if they are making the right moves. I agree with the other comments that there are better energy companies to invest in than CHK.
