ABOUT
Proprietary Trader at DV Trading, level 3 CFA and level 3 CMT candidate, MSc Investment Analysis with distinction, and B.A. politcs. Most importantly, I am a student of the markets, and far from considering myself an expert.
Having began trading in 2008 I am very critical of the investment industry and am hence pursing the most thorough education. I seek to ask questions more often than to answer them, and will never stop learning. I strive for every one of my articles on here to be better than the last, and I will likely make many mistakes.
If I were a geologist I would invest soley based on fundamentals in mining stocks. If I were a techy I would invest soley based on fundamentals in tech start ups. I ...More am neither of the two; perhaps at best I can be considered a socioeconomist. Accordingly, I typically employ technical (TA) and intermarket analysis. It has been widely established in history and academia that it is extremely difficult to generate alpha in large caps and widely followed names using fundamental analysis. TA, however, can be applied across a wide spectrum of investments. It is no easy task, and proponents of TA are often criticized. Just like fundamental analysis, a basic understanding of TA can prove to be dangerous, and TA is often incorrectly appilied.
Most articles I produces are for perspective and insight. For actionable trade ideas (which I often take) please see my Instablog or StockTwits account. Always seeks further financial advise prior to considering any ideas I put forth
I enjoy trading, but I am seeking an opportunity where I can put further analysis first, and trading second. In the future I hope to be in an institutional setting performing global macro economic and TA while positioning my account at DV Trading alongside my analysis.
Due to the fact that I entered the industry in 2008, I tend to be critical, and accordingly bearish in a lot of my outlooks. I attempt to study history when possible, and history does not suggest the long term economic outlook to be bright. Please keep that in mind when reading my work
