Brian began his coverage on the biotech and small pharma area after becoming the lead contributor of the biotech news portal BioMedReports.com in 2011. Prior to this, he worked in a laboratory at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine although he ultimately decided not to pursue a research career.

Wanting to form a news portal that emphasized speed as well as quality, he purchased the bio-wire.com domain name on October 3rd of 2012 and began to post content onto the site. He noticed that small healthcare companies received little attention from Wall Street analysts and media entities, and began to significantly expand the depth, quality, and volume of coverage he provided in an attempt to shine some light on ...More the sector for everyone to see, and began to syndicate third party content as well. Bio-Wire traffic continued to rise dramatically, and the site has become a go-to destination for biotech investors who want new ideas or recaps on current events.

Bio-Wire also offers a free recap service (Bio-Wire Weekly) that is sent to subscribers every weekend and summarizes some of the biggest headlines of the previous week. Also included is Catalyst~Watch - another free service that monitors upcoming events that are expected to cause drastic movements in biotech stocks.
