  • 6 Stocks To Post Gains Over The Next Week [View article]
I love the Sonic and I expect that it will attract a new consumer base with its sporty look compared to the Cruze's family sedan. I'm actually excited about the Volt, I think the concept behind its technology is genius, it really benefits the person who commutes back and forth to work. It appears to be picking up steam and I expect the Sonic to sell units similar to the Cruze with a different appearance, great gas efficiency, and a slightly lower price.

I think this last last year was a learning experience for both F and GM. Both the Fusion and Cruze have had unbelievable amounts of success and I expect for both companies to build off the success of there most successful products, which is why I believe the Sonic will have so much success. GM and F has reinvented themselves as companies that save the consumer money and with a product that is much improved, compared to two years prior, I believe both companies will post large gains from this point forward. I have read your posts and I know that you don't feel the same way. But I don't think the company needs to have global strength to show significant progress over the next few years. Because although sales are higher year-over-year they are still at historic lows. My point is that with sales at historic lows, but rising, and a much better product the company will continue to grow with a service that saves the consumer money.

  • 5 Stocks Moving The Markets Along With The Status Of The European Economy [View article]
Absolutely!! I just buy more shares every time it goes down. I bought shares in June when the stock dropped under $29, at that time the stock accounted for 6% of my portfolio. But over the last three months I have increased my position to nearly 15% which is my second largest holding, behind AT&T. I am very confident in GM over the next five years, the company's sales continue to rise and it keeps creating new vehicles that save the consumer money with fuel-efficiency. Sales have increased but are still at historically low levels which leaves much room for growth as the economy improves.

I apologize that it took me so long to reply.

Kiar97 -- The FDA warning is a serious issue if the problem continues. Hopefully the letter will correct the issue and the company wont have any further complaints. With that being said I believe the letter was nothing more than an opportunity for investors to purchase shares at a cheaper price. I saw an article from medpage that said Pfizer had been sued for more than $150 million and has received 100's of letters from the FDA over the last 15 years and yet the company remains one of the leaders in the drug industry. I believe the company's quarterly results were encouraging, sales and earnings increased by large margins and the company still has plenty of room to grow. And with today's strong performance despite the market's dismal performance indicates to me that the stock has reached resistance and may trend higher from this point forward.

Robby -- The $1.90 mark is a point that SIRI has been unable to achieve since the market's downtrend in August. Even when the market posted large gains in October the stock reached $1.85 and then could not break through into the $1.90's. As an investor I am sure that you are fully aware of this stocks potential to post large gains or large loss in a short period of time, after it breaks resistance. I believe that $1.85 is showing a psychological resistance that investors are not confident enough to purchase shares, at this level. Therefore if it can breakthrough I believe it will trend significantly higher. I have been waiting for a good buy price for SIRI and today it was present. It just sucks that I can't buy the stock because of my disclosure. I hope its trading at these levels on Friday and I will most definitely purchase shares.

The markets will most likely fall over the next week with more news sure to be announced out of Europe. Therefore I am excited about the opportunity to purchase more shares at value prices.

Unfortunately I am not a shareholder. I have wanted to buy shares in the company for quite sometime but keep talking myself out of the investment. Because it trades so high above earnings I have contemplated whether or not it can maintain its rate of gains. But after its most recent quarter and its expansion I believe QCOR, along with JAZZ, has the most potential of any biotech company in the market. I can assure you that I will buy shares the minute it dips and I will ride it out for the long haul. Congrats on a great investment that is just getting started!!!

  • Building The Perfect Portfolio: 6 Short-Term Value Stocks [View article]
I use sharebuilder and tdameritrade, I spoke to an adviser at Charles Schwab about 6 six years ago when I was first starting out. And the adviser told me the charge was 3% for every purchase and sell. However sites such as optionshouse charge less than $5 to buy and sell, and some offer promotions such as 50 free trades for signing up. I am oppose to using a broker if you have the time and knowledge to handle your own portfolio. Because there is too much money to be made in this volatile market for 10 and 15% returns per year plus ridiculous brokerage charges.

  • These Executives Are Telling You To Sell [View article]
Well, if you take 100 companies you could probably find 5 CEO's that could be classified as "idiots" however the majority of executives are intelligent business men and women. You quote one statement but left out: "Sometimes an insider selling shares means nothing at all, but sometimes it can be used as an indicator of what's to come." I never said its a for sure indication of what's to come I just said that investors should be aware of insider trading tendencies. Because "most" executives are well-rounded business people and all CEO's know the company much better than the investor. They know earnings and key developments much sooner than you or I and I know that if I were a CEO I wouldn't sell thousands of shares just before a record breaking earnings report. However I would sell shares after my largest customer switched suppliers. CEO's and executives have the inside knowledge of what's going to happen before it happens and that's not an opinion it's a fact. And investors need to be aware of when CEO's and executives are selling at high rates and ask themselves why? Because no college tuition or purchase is $20 million, at least I can't think of one, and besides it's not like CEO's rely on there stock for income most make a pretty good living from hefty salaries.

And the CEO of M.F. Global was not an idiot he was actually a very successful investor at Goldman Sachs. He just made bad decisions and took leadership in a company that he didn't fully understand.

  • GM And Ford See Unprecedented Upside Ahead [View article]
I like both companies I just own stock in GM. I believe that both present value and that both will post large gains in the next few years. I have few reasons as to why I bought GM over Ford but since I own two GM vehicles it just felt like the right mix plus I like the company's growth and its upcoming models. But both companies are great!!

I like strong growth high yield stocks such as MCD, CAT, BMY, etc. There are several great long-term stocks with high yield and solid performance as well. And with these three stocks you would have a growing biotech, services, and capital goods stock. And finally, if I were you, I would add F which is extremely undervalued with sales that are expected to increase 50% over the next 4 years. As the economy improves this stock will explode and once it implements a dividend investors will be more hesitant to sell on every word out of Europe. I expect F to explode the moment it announces the yield, which will be soon, and that those who buy now will be heavily rewarded. And although I am more bullish on GM I believe that if I were in your situation I would go with Ford. Both have incredible upside but Ford doesn't have uncle Sam breathing down its neck. Any of these four stocks, or all, will have you very pleased with your portfolio within two or three years. I appreciate the kind words!!
