I have been investing since the late '70s and managing individuals money since 1985. Over those 25+ years our composite average has compounded at 13.7% per annum, some 3.5 percentage points better than the S&P 500. Three percentage points might not seem like much, but over 25 years it doubles your money. I am currently not accepting new clients, and this in no way constitutes an advertisement.

There's an old adage : Teach a man to fish and he will eat for life. Updated version:
Obama has this rule for us to follow :

Capital is fungible, when used properly it goes where it is best employed.
Fiat money in America is created solely as a result of the Federal Reserve system. Therefore it is totally accurate to say that the Federal Reserve system generates our most unfair tax. Both the tax and the system that makes it possible should be abolished.
The political scientist who authorized this process of monetizing the national debt and the monetary scientist who carry it out know that it is not true debt. It is not true debt because no one in Washington really expects to repay it, ever. The dual purpose of this magic show is simply to create free spending money for the politicians without the inconvenience of raising direct taxes and also to create a perpetual river of gold flowing into the banking cartel.
Each year since 1969, Congress has spent more money than its income. The Treasury Department has to borrow money to meet Congress's appropriations. The Congressional Budget Office web site's deficit analysis will show this . We have to pay interest* on that huge, growing debt; and it dramatically cuts into our budget.

I am a 32 yr old San Diego-based, private investor always looking for new investments. I like boring companies no one cares about and I just wait for the price to make sense. All of my most successful investments have been the easiest. I read about 6-8 hours a day, mostly investor relations websites and news. I use no financial modeling other than looking at financial statements and crunching a bunch of numbers in my head. I pride myself on efficiency, so I have taught myself to analyze businesses extremely quickly with just a few simple questions. I find merger arbitrage to be a great way to generate additional returns when I carry excess cash.
I am a scratch golfer who gets into plus handicap territory if I play a few times a week. I enjoy beaches, vacations and skiing. Life is pretty good.

I have studied to ply my trade in finance with a bachelors in accounting. In 2014, I developed an app to access corporate disclosure materials at the SEC. My grandparent’s home was filled with valuing investing paraphernalia and, naturally, I became interested in the stock market.
