ABOUT
Brint Detwiler, founder of Barnstone Advisors, brings a unique perspective to his target audience of those families and business owners seeking wealth management advice. As someone who built and sold a legacy business, Brint understands the unique needs and concerns of entrepreneurs and those seeking to build wealth toward the realization of their life goals. He understands the myriad of financial as life planning issues that can quickly create complexity and burdens when, in fact, the reward of wealth accumulation should be increased simplicity and freedom.
After earning his B.S. degree in Economics from Grinnell College and his M.B.A. from Emory University, Brint worked as a senior financial consultant with ...More KPMG in Philadelphia, PA. From there, he spent 16 years operating and growing his privately owned firm, AutoPort North America, a leading provider of vehicle export services to major North American auto manufacturers and numerous overseas re-marketers. His tenure as CEO and major shareholder led to the successful sale of the company to a publicly-held (London-FTSE) Multinational holding company. Since selling the business in 2002, Brint has worked with venture capital firms as both an active and passive investor and has consulted with a wide variety of businesses.
Realizing his own aptitude for finance and investment, as well as his desire to add real value to other business owners, based on his own experiences, Brint founded Barnstone Advsors and pursued the certifications required for financial planning. He has completed the educational requirements of the CFP Board of Standards, and he also holds a Series 65 license (Registered Investment Advisor) from the FINRA.
