The heat is on and the US once again, consistently, will try to change the rules. Moral dilemma: What are we teaching the next generation of kids? The mark to market rule was there for the same exact reason which is to avoid this floundering crisis. So much money allotted to bail white collar crooks; not a single cent to help rebuild New Orleans. America, wake up!

Credibility of these big houses are now at an all-time low. The prestige is now lost. In summary, with most of them having survived their first 100 years of operation with all their supposed success, its all out of the pandora's box: it was not a special skill that they have but like any other big businesses today, it was a tremendous head start. Why do I say so? For a company as established as them, all those years they seem to have never learned anything. And I confidently generalize that most of the other funds are also like this, bandwagon riding ivy league studs pushing on the same anecdote. There is really no hardcore investing or even real money-management.
