  • The man who likes assets whose charts are moving up and to the right, Dennis Gartman cites his "traders intuition" as among the reasons he's exiting stocks. • Why You Must Never Ever (Ever) Invest In A Leveraged ETN For Much Longer Than A Day [View article]
Hey Shifty, did you read the entire article? If so, do you see the point I'm making about the effect of volatility on leveraged products? A sustained direction works wonders for a leveraged product, but where it hurts is a market that can't pick a direction. That's not even touching anything about term structure.

  • Lexmark (LXK -4.6%) has steadily sold off over the course of the day. There could be worries bigger rival H-P (HPQ -3.7%), hurt by Dell's FQ2 report, will report another round of poor results for its printing division (previous) after the bell, in light of the industry's challenges. Lexmark issued a giant Q2 warning and poor Q3 guidance in July. [View news story]
Funny, I didn't know that Helmerich & Payne Inc. had a printing division! So diversified!

Sarandos notes the company adopted the same policy in the U.S. in order to grab the rights for engaging online content and gain an edge. [View news story]
Like I said here: http://seekingalpha.co... NFLX has found its calling, and it is to bid up content prices

  • Netflix (NFLX +0.5%) crosses over the 1M member milestone in the UK and Ireland. The company says 10% of the population in the region gives up two hours or more of their day to watching TV shows delivered via the Internet. Though competition is stiff with Amazon's Lovefilm and BSkyB offering up online content, it appears the market may be broad enough to feed all three companies. [View news story]

  • Expect Dilution To Accompany Delusion As Netflix Finds Its Calling [View article]
Beachdude, thanks for the comment! I think they will be putting the company in danger for UK and elsewhere. I think Reed has been perfectly clear on that matter. That's why I wrote this one, and to hint at what it means for the studios and what Netflix means to them :)

Question: Where are you seeing $1B in stock waiting to drop? I see 5,098,863 shares available to grant & 3,576,027 shares outstanding with an avg exercise @ 73.31 as of June 30 '12

Am I not understanding the ESO plan in the latest 10-Q?

    Cheers!
