  • Fitbit's Decline Has Nothing To Do With The Company's Value [View article]
    Your logic is flawed and conflicted. If you believe there is no value and this is a fad, why would another company buy them or still another company move into this valueless vertical? FIT is growing +100% and so is the total addressable "wearables" market. Contrary to your antidote these are not "exercise gadgets", they are a form of health and wellness technology hence corporations are adopting their superior wellness offering.

  • Shake Shack: High Demand + Low Supply = Pricing Power [View article]
    TY. Don't get me wrong. I live in Denver and was excited to try to burger during a visit to the east coast. The product is amazing, but the investment is fool-hearted at best.

    Appreciate the honesty. Don't mess with the leveraged ETFs ever. Investing is all about timing and these leveraged plays make timing even more important or you lose money on "decay". Dollar cost average into a high quality, low leverage, low cost producer like SU.

  • Apple Watch Market Disruption: It's A Battle For The Wrist [View article]
    I'll wear a Fitbit because it doesn't replace my watch. Watch on left, Fitbit on right. Also way more appropriately priced compared to Apple Watch. In my opinion the only intrinsically valuable aspect of the Apple Watch is the notification system.

    Raising prices is nuts. Already quite pricy for what it is.

  • Ninten-Don't? Refuting The Short Case For Nintendo [View article]
    If they can capture 25% of the smart phone market we're talking about adding $5 B in profit. Think the producer of 17 of the top 25 best selling video games of all time can figure out the smart phone market? My money is on them, their dividend and zero debt, $7 B cash balance sheet. Buy it today at support, sitting on the 200 DMA.

  • Fitbit plans 21M-share offering; shares now -7.2% [View news story]
    Interesting comparison. I tend to agree, but the move into corporate wellness is really smart and gaining traction. Insurance companies need this data and corporations needs employe engagement to drive healthier populations. I think FIT has room to run over the next few years on these trends alone, but they will need a follow up act.

  • China factory activity shrinks for third month [View news story]
    Global trade is 60% of GDP with China the largest exporter, second biggest economy and thus the biggest driver of global growth of recent years.

    Since they are slowing, and slowing fast they have had to devalue their currency and thus are exporting "deflation" globally;

    If they devalue further (I believe they will), prices will fall further and so too will profit margins outside of China.
