I'm a full time investor focusing on investments that generate cash flow, rather than primarily capital appreciation. One of my earliest influences was Peter Lynch's book, "One Up on Wall Street," which I highly recommend to anyone who is thinking about investing on their own. I've been investing for more than a decade, and my investing style has shifted over the years to focus more on dividend-paying stocks and other ways to generate cash flow through investing.
As I'm sure many others would agree, Warren Buffett has been and continues to be a great influence. Consequently, my preferred approach is to evaluate stocks as businesses, and focus on their ability to generate cash flow. My articles will focus on stable, dependable businesses that offer the prospect for long term rewards, and I would expect that my articles would be of interest to people who invest for dividends, rather than just for capital appreciation. My articles will also be a mix of general thoughts on approaches to investing, and articles on specific stocks or investment opportunities that may arise. I hope that what I write will be useful to beginners while still providing information and perspective for more seasoned investors.
