  • Jobs Lost in April? Try Jobs Gained in April.

    Why focus on the negative? Every month the Bureau of Labor Statistics comes out with its update of the employment situation and every month for the last 16 months the number has come in negative. A negative number means that payrolls keep decreasing, leaving more and more Americans unemployed. For the month of April, the first month of the second quarter, the “green shoots” quarter it’s important that we turn the focus to where jobs are being created.  If we are to believe that employment is a lagging indicator and that the economy will rebound by the end of this year, it would be nice to know whose leading the way or to put it in a different way, the leading lagger. Even more important, if you’re looking for a new job, maybe you might want to look into these industries, the odds will be much more favorable there. The highlights:
