Nokia: Bargain of a Lifetime - Barron's

Interesting article. Even though Nokia is trading at 9 times 2009 earnings I don't know if it's really that great of bargain. There is an operating system in the mobile market between strong competitors like Microsoft, Google, Apple and RIM who are making huge bets in this area. I don't know if I Nokia has the know-how or resources to compete with these firms. As Microsoft showed us in the desktop market, making the gas that fuels the boxes is a much better option...That is not the Nokia's advantage right now

Google's Android OS Hits Snags with Mobile Carriers

Nice Article. I think from a consumer perspective the Android is very interesting, but I'm a little confused by Google's thinking on this one. As far as I can understand Android Google will not really make any money on the mobile OS until people uses google's prominent search engine. With mobile phone users going to google.com with their ipods and blackberries already, it might make sense for google to apply their funds elsewhere. I guess this is the root of google's "problem" where they make so much money from search...
