  • Intel: Is The Investor Ready To Dump The Stock? [View article]
The last four quarter data are given for comparison and where the company's performance stands. Generally, everyone takes the latest reported quarter and go with the preceding quarters. This is purely to indicate the trend of the last few quarters and the contributions from various segments. Thanks.

  • Intel: Is The Investor Ready To Dump The Stock? [View article]
Important financial data for the last four quarters are given in the first table. Of the total revenue, the PC Group client revenue and Data center revenue percentage are also given to indicate the importance of PC segment contributions to the company's overall revenue. This, in turn, translates into higher EPS. Adjusted EPS and Adjusted gross margin are Non-GAAP measures. Analysts take into account the Non-GAAP measures for their EPS or gross margin estimate. In effect, the sluggishness in the PC segment means, revenue contribution from the segment will likely to dip. Also, third quarter is supposed to be a strong quarter because of the holiday season sale in the fourth quarter. Could you please tell me where do you feel confused? Thanks.

  • PulteGroup: Housing Prices May Have Bottomed, But Price Appreciation Will Be Tough [View article]
Though the company has many positives, the analyst Sell rating was based on price to book ratio, which is above its peers. The stock has nearly doubled since the beginning of the year, whereas its peers are not. Some analysts and investors have also been feeling that the market is in overbought trajectory for quite sometime. Yet, the market is moving up only. Ultimately, some favorable economic news and liquidity drive the sentiments, leaving the analyst comments. But their comments cannot be ignored totally because of the opposite price movement.

  • ConAgra Foods: A Candidate For Value-Enhancing Split-Up Or Divestiture [View article]
The management has not hinted any such potential spin offs or divestitures. If the management hinted it, the stock would have surged already. Others in the industry such as Kraft Foods indulged in similar exercise. Therefore, there is a possibility that CAG could also resort to it. Analysts believe that. If CAG is split, then there will be unlocking of value. Before the management decides, it is an advance alert of a potential spin offs or divestitures.
