Stock Plan excludes CEO and Leadership Team: http://bit.ly/MfwTFo

Markus: why do you not give the source in the article of your info on insider buying? Usually this info is not available until 30 days after the fact. You`re quoting purchases one day old!

  • Samsung (SSNLF.PK) is taking Windows Phone 8 (MSFT) seriously: the company has disclosed in court documents it's planning to launch two WP8 models in Q4. One will feature a 4.65" display, and both (like the U.S. version of the Galaxy S III) will run on Qualcomm's (QCOM) powerful MSM8960 processor. It looks as if Nokia (NOK), reportedly launching two WP8 models of its in the coming months, will have its work cut out for it. (also)  [View news story]
NOK up 6 cents today, almost 3%. That is the 6th consec. day gain. Cause: EU relief only, and/or other info?

Nokia: "Their smartphone fan base is tiny." Wow. I will someone else have a go at that one as I do not have any numbers at the tips of my fingers, even though I'm pretty sure Nokia has sold millions and millions and millions of Symbian smartphones outside the US. In fact, I would not be surprised if Nokia has sold a ton more smartphones than Samsung ever has. BTW, Samsung is also known for their feature phones throughout the world, albeit of the cheap variety.

DVL: I could be going out on a limb here, but I think Nokia is quite familiar in many parts of the world. I don`t think any reasonable person would consider that a "danger". Samsung is no 1 now, but they are on the no 1 platform. If people have a choice between cheap and quality, quality will get its share of sales. Not worried there.

DVL: Owning Mahowny was an excellent movie BTW, have you seen it on Netflix? If not I recommend it highly to everyone. Hoffman is excellent. And I am not proud to say this, but the bank being portrayed in the film is Canadian.

Your comparison, however, is quite exaggerated as per your usual.

You can`t have it both ways: critics of NOK whine to say WP7.5 has small market share, nobody wants it and NOK was dumb to chose it. Then when other OEMs say they want WP, they say "ooh watch out NOK, other OEMs are going to make it harder for you". I say bring on all the WP OEMs and let WP market share grow to popular acceptance. Then we'll see whose OEMs' phones people want. Samsung, bring it on (and thank you BTW).

  • 15 Reasons Why Apple Is A Once In A Lifetime Opportunity [View article]
glennvirt: I have secret proof that Steve Jobs is an alien, and is actually not dead. That is the real story behind his "adoption". He will come back and re-visit Earth when we are ready to accept that other forms of life exist. Tim Cook knows this and is paid handsomely to keep this secret. When it becomes feasible, all Apple jobs are being moved out of China to another solar system. Then will Americans still love Apple? Don`t think so.

  • Investors Are Realizing That Nokia Is Here To Stay [View article]
Cyanus: no one can predict the future, but considering MSFT has 95% of the PCs locked in, you can safely believe that W8 will sell, analysts and regular people will eventually get over themselves and realize that it is the future. When they do, they will see how WP8 is also the future. Then if we can get some opinion-leaders to recognize this and make some noise, WP8 related stocks will hopefully rise.

bilton: I called your post dishonest because you used a double-standard. You disregarded the fact that the EU has been dragging NOK and others down for the past year or so. Remove the EU out of the question and you have a different stock price. You can`t have it both ways.

  • With some help from rising European markets, Nokia (NOK +4.2%) has quietly rallied 23% this week, as value investors bet the company can stabilize. A Chinese site recently reported that Nokia will unveil two Windows Phone 8 models (previous) at its Sep. 5 Nokia World event. There are already hints Nokia WP8 devices could go on sale soon afterwards. (also)  [View news story]

bunnyturd: don't comment on other people's investments for which you have absolutely no clue. You live up to your name well: the brain of a bunny and the behavior of a turd. Go hang around with your own kind, you bring a bad smell to these threads.
