Which current acquisition is the worst deal relative to the target's value? $DELL? $ES-OLD? $OUTD? $AUTO.OB? $S? Any bumps/overbids?

    • bd4uandu: I haven't followed all of them but the $S story has been interesting. I owned their shares for the run up and made out okay. I am out now

    • bd4uandu: sold @ $2.79 left some on the table slept better. It will be interesting to see how it ends. I am also a $S and $S customer.

    • Chris DeMuth Jr.: $S is probably worth more than either current bid. One option is to get an appraisal in court, which could be valuable in settlement.

    • bd4uandu: The only real thing I know about the $DELL deal is $MSFT putting in 2 billion. My take is Windows 8 isn't working and they need someone ...

    • bd4uandu: to stay in the fold. I might be wrong and often am but won't admit it.

    • Chris DeMuth Jr.: $DELL probably gets an overbid from $BX and end up somewhere in the mid-high teens; more here if you care: http://seekingalpha.com/a/riuv.

    • Sal Marvasti: Up more than 10% on my MSFT shares not inc div. I love to buy bluechips when everyone thinks they are a failure . It is a contrarian signal.

    • Sal Marvasti: And very low risk if you the company is more than meets the eye.

    • Sal Marvasti: The point I am making is why wait until the Dell takeover bid? I would have bought Dell at $11 if I underestood all the businesses
      3/20/13
    • Sal Marvasti: Dell traded at $11 due to the one dimensional perception of it as a PC assembler, which is only $3 of its value.

    • bd4uandu: The problem with $S and many others is debt. That seems to be limiting their options. I hope they resolve this soon I am looking ...

    • bd4uandu: forward to LTE promised by $S and better speeds by $S.

    • bd4uandu: How do you appraise spectrum it seems kind subjective on it's value right now. The $DISH bid defiantly upped the anti.

    • Sal Marvasti: I would look to potential acquisition targets.a lot of semiconductors are undervalued.

    • bd4uandu: I just added $TSM to portfolio. I think they have potential. I liked them under 18 but now even better.

    • SafisKusai: problem with clwr is that S is moving away from wimax, and without sprint they don't have the cash infusion also lots of debt
      3/21/13
    • SafisKusai: either way there is kind of a floor and i made a nice chunk of change selling bull put spreads (spread because of margin costs)
      3/21/13
    • Chris DeMuth Jr.: Good point well worth mentioning: CLWR is a catastrophe as a standalone going concern which makes weakens their hands in deal talks.
