Dr. Chris Hughen, CFA, CIPM is Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Denver. He regularly teaches courses in security analysis, portfolio management, and international finance. Chris holds a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Missouri, and his specialty is investments.
Since 2001 Chris has published 13 peer-reviewed research articles in leading finance journals such as the Journal of Financial Research and Financial Management. His research has won awards from the CFP Board of Examiners, Academy of Financial Services, and the Daniels College of Business. Dr. Hughen is actively involved in the CFA Institute and previously served as president of CFA Society of Toledo.
After earning a master’s degree in finance and banking, Chris Hughen started his career in finance at Kimberly-Clark, which is a consumer products manufacturer in the Fortune 500. Chris continued his education at the University of Missouri, where he earned a Ph.D. in Finance in 2000. Dr. Hughen holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and the Certificate of Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM), which are premier professional credentials in the global investment community.
