Im not a super huge fan of the company, just trying to make money. If a gold rebound occurs, the nature of this stock will provide a leveraged way to play. I do like it better than many other exploratory companies however. At the same time, should gold plummet to say 1200, look out below for AAU. Its a levered play. Could be a good long-termer. I am bullish LONG term on the metals. (please note that LONG term doesnt mean "by 2014 or similar lol")
Id say once this selloff puts miners out of business. Demand remains strong, supply is still adequate, for now. We are going to need some inflation. Whether I 'trust' the government reported inflation methodology is another story, but we will need it to support prices. The odd thing is, when Fed pulls QE, it could help gold and silver because the stock market will finally sell off. $35? I think it could return to those levels in a few years. But right now you should accumulate on the way down. Big money sold metals to buy stock. Just a big rotation.

Apologies I grabbed the wrong line from the reports. A correction has been submitted. Considering the story is on book value...kind of an important number to have straight.
That may be true in the copper market, but there has been a clear divergence in the silver market. Demand has increased, supply decreased, premiums up (recall January and February when US mint sold out of ASEs). I think things will revery eventually to the mean. Silver at such low prices will put folks out of business. This is fact.
But see thats just it. The PAPER market has distorted everything. Supply is limited. A recent report said there may be less silver in the world than gold! Further, with this downshot in price, some miners will go out of business. This will further hurt supply. Demand isnt going anywhere but up, both on precious and industrial sides.
