Clay King's Instablog

I am a retired investment professional with positions as Sr. Portfolio Manager and Chief Investment Officer for three different capital management firms over a 35 year career. I usually confine articles to times of action and not just to publish. My primary emphasis is on equity selection using valuation methods such as PE, dividend yield, cash flow & relative values in a historical context. I would be classified as a GARP (growth at a reasonable price) investor who also uses technical work (Holder of a Chartered Market Technician designation) to identify buy and sell points as well as to identify trends. I tend to seek out equity investments for long term investments that have become great value for various reasons.

This is really a test of how this works, but an actual trade I made and currently have on. As one can see CROX traded in a small range from 15 up to about 19.5 from 12/21 to 4/19 within a multi-month pattern with a rising bottom. A position could be taken on the break out on large volume on new high, and then again on the pullback to a touch under 20 on the 29th, which I did mention in a Stock Talk.
http://finviz.com/publish/051811/CROXc1dl1421.png
