Plus, If cost of debt is 5.7% as said in the article, and the dividend yield on cost when mgmt bought back the shares was around this number or possibly even higher at this point, yep mgmt is nearly cash flow positive off their debt if they used the same $ to buy back shares

Author makes good points, but if the tobacco consumer was going to feel a pinch and cut back their buying of tobacco it would have already happened. It's 2015, 7 years into the great recession with a badly bruised and beaten consumer...If MO is still doing well with these headwinds I don't see what will stop it. However, a huge headwind and big time bearish catalyst is a whopper of a tax increase which the author does mention. If this happens lookout below, the problem is who can forsee yay or nay for this?

right but how much does the company use shares to pay employees? as you know this will camouflage expenses and make losses seem less than they really should be

  • Cantor Fitzgerald buys into Lumber Liquidators value proposition [View news story]
I am a Tilson troll though. I think SA's acceptance of Tilson's articles are insulting to other contributors who are not permitted to publish with the same frequency and repetitiveness as he does, as he is simply excused from the guidelines because of his popularity.
Moreover, his articles are clearly one sided and are often not based on factual information, such as his last piece which was corrected for example, basically nullifying the entire thesis of the article.
In addition, his declaration of "blog comments give him a headache" was very insulting to the community, and his decision to not answer questions degrades the site IMO. I welcome his articles don't give me wrong, but just not to this degree.
