  • 2013 Outlook Year-End And Beyond: Part 4 - Summary, Conclusions, Must Watch Developments [View article]
CLARIFICATION: If you were wondering why the last line in the post about learning from my mistakes wasn't followed by any mention of how to do so, a few lines that followed were cut by SA editors. Happens.

In the original article (under news>special features at fxempire.com or thesensibleguidetofore... I then went on to gently suggest that one might consider reading my book (in the left margin above) or, for simpler and briefer intro to forex, take advantage of a new intro to forex video (and text) course out at FXAcademy.com that's based on parts of my book - free of charge for the time being.

So if you were wondering what I was referring to about learning from my mistakes, that was it.

  • 2013 Outlook Year-End And Beyond: Bullish Vs. Bearish - Part 1 Intro, Overview [View article]
Curious to hear your thoughts and questions, dear readers. You rarely fail to enlighten me.

Some good stuff here that you won't often elsewhere, particularly regarding my concerns about the EU (tho Mauldin just put a good piece on the topic) and no one else is talking about the numerous contentious issues and risks opened up by the negotiations over the EU bank stress tests and the bank stabilization deal that must come first (see http://bit.ly/IjJkiE for details)

Those tight for time can head to Part 4 for summary and conclusions, and hit parts 2-3 as your interests and time dictate.

helpful article but missing one key metric:DCF COVERAGE, a measure of the likely sustainability of the DCF.

DCF is interesting only if they can sustain it.
    anyone have info on that?

exports not a big part of US GDP
don't know exact ratio of US imports/exports, but given US trade deficit, seems US citizens benefits overall from higher USD

tho fed wants rates low so can continue to borrow / roll over debt cheaply

see Felix Salmon's recent post here on SA, shows how top rates sovereign top credit ratings rest on assumption they can roll over debt (cheaply)

    AARC,

touched by the effort and usefulness of that comment
keep meaning to put more time into Elliot wave. Can you recommend a really good source or two (I keep hitting the bad ones)?
Do you have a blog? Curious to see it.

Implications make sense if your read is correct. I hope it is, live abroad and have partial USD income

  • Lessons For The Coming Week: 'Fed Fake' Didn't Fool Currency Markets [View article]
    many but not all
AUD, CAD, SEK NOK to name a few. As a big believer in currency diversified income, I'm on look out for good income stocks from these countries. Canada has good selection, Australia less so, fewer for Sweden and Norway
Shameless promo: see my book in upper left margin of this article for a few chapters on currency diversified income
Also for your 'bad currency' stocks in USD or EUR, you can lessen the problem with companies that have pricing power, hard asset exposure, and good record of divvy increases. No wonder the MLP space has been hot in the past decade.

Hope to write more about those soon, we'll see
