I did get out of $POT around $45, but for other reasons - had another play going on for $EMC options. Anyways, selling puts for $POT at the levels that you discussed above are an attractive option - especially because there's no reason to repent even if they are assigned in the long term.

Although I will be more than happy to see $5 next week itself, there are some headwinds in the short term. First few days of August we have the ISM (horrible prev month) , Factory Orders (positive previous month) and Employment numbers coming out (again, not good at all in the prev month). Chances are the market will see downward pressure and this mini rally could fade away, and we could see panic again. In short, August and September could give new investors newer opportunities to buy Sprint.
Remember the Forrest Gump scene when the Lieutenant and Gump both held on to their boat bravely in a storm? Well, that's what investors are supposed to do with high potential stocks like Sprint, URI, CMI, CAT, SLB etc.
@geetb, just be thankful. You could have put that money in GDOT and lost lot of money instead. Putting things in perspective, you enjoy today a good gain out of Sprint, a gain that many other investors in other stocks could be possibly envious of. Enjoy the moment.

@xsirxx Will have to wait on see for details, but it could be possible that because Sprint announced this impairment ahead on its earnings might not cause issues if Clearwire just puts more details in the same fact (factored in).

Sprint already announced charges of about 39 cents per share for for an impairment related to an investment in Clearwire and costs and depreciation from the Nextel shutdown. Maybe the Clearwire earnings will just throw more light on it - let's see.
