  • Blackberry: Simple Reasons To Go Long [View article]
“In Canada, many stores reported being sold out of the Z10 and the sales force was well-versed on the device’s attributes; however, a few representatives told us that they did not receive a large initial inventory,” Modoff said. “In the U.K., the sales force was better-versed on the feature sets relative to the week prior; however, no stores were sold out. … We think the initial signs of this launch do not indicate the strong sales we would like to see.”

    Kurt,

No consumers care about "security", and no enterprises use Blackberry anymore. Goldman Sachs may be advising people to buy yet does not own any of the stock themselves. They want the people's money, and they will get it. Interest may have "skyrocketed" after a Super Bowl ad, but you can't buy a BB10 device from a real carrier in the US. Blackberry will not return.

Blackberry was built on secure push email, but for some reason chose to not include it with their latest device. At least not yet.

"And the biggest omission of all is like a submarine that hasn't surfaced yet: one of the key characteristics that "made" a BlackBerry - the BIS servers giving consumers end-to-end encrypted push email - aren't supported in the new platform"
