FA with AIG and Merrill Lynch to wealthy clients and institutions. I have 5 years experience in the financial industry and now trade my personal account. I am interested in using volatile small caps, leveraged ETF's, and the occasional option trade to add outsized returns to my portfolio. I try to invest either in leveraged, extremely high beta stocks, or beta neutral stocks. There is no middle ground for me as I am either trying to time a beta sensitive catalyst or I am trying to avoid having beta at all.

I don't believe a retail investor with less than $10 million should pay a financial advisor at any firm to manage money. They know, in many cases, less than you do and they are completely dependent on mutual ...More fund managers. You are literally paying them for their friendship, friends.

I don't believe the stock market is a true representation of the economy, it may never have been, or anything resembling an efficient market. I think the market has fundamentally changed since 2008 and will continue to be forever changed by the current "currency wars" taking place globally. I feel we have become a macro event based market more so than ever and that there is money to be made in timing these events correctly.
