  • The Poker Boom Is Over: Short Casino and Gambling Stocks [View article]
As disclosed I closed my MGM short quickly because it fell so fast. After possibly one more move up (during which losers like MGM will outperform due to short-covering) stocks in general are on the verge of falling off a cliff- from PG to MGM. You should double down:)

You're right about the "irrational exuberance" statement, that line was regarding CREE and should have been switched with the one introducing solar stocks.

Wind power is a cash incinerator. China, unlike the rest of the world, has money to burn. You're paying for it directly by owning losers like APWR, GE.

Everyone who wants and can afford to be greenified has.

Sorry, I don't sell solar products or hallucinate all day. My vision encompasses failing economies- see today's market session. The solar industry will grow. Profits for manufacturers will not.

I tried, but couldn't help from laughing. GM and Pan Am? Both went bankrupt when their industries got competitive. The solar industry has gotten there much faster.

In a booming economy I agree today's level of saturation would not satisfy the "gone green far and wide" claim. However, the few that see a benefit and can afford to "go green" already have. The solar market is entirely overcrowded and most wind turbines are about as efficient as dream catchers.

Of course the technologies will be implemented further, but growth has peaked for at least the next several years.

    Thanks for the comment.

I will admit that, while QE2.5<QE2, the debt ceiling is the bigger threat to this tremendous asset bubble and should have been my focus in the article.
