Yeah, kind of seems you are big on natural gas.

  • U.S. Housing Gridlock Can Be Solved By Reducing Principal [View article]
America has been looking for the easy way out for forty years.

It is almost out of rope.

What you are suggesting is only a further extension of the extend and pretend.

It will all end in tears and sooner than you think.

The only real justification for this approach is that is probably all going to end in tears anyway.

  • Is This A Bear Market Rally? [View article]
I am not sure that fundamentals mean anything to a successful trader.

I never really understood chartism until the penny dropped.

Successful trading is about understanding short-term sentiment not economics. Sentiment can be judged from the market itself. Watch the charts and trade on the clues they give you. You will never make money on the markets from a masters in economics.

  • Is This A Bear Market Rally? [View article]
I am neither Bull or Bear.

I find courage when others are afraid, and fear when others are jubilant.

I would be more accurately described as a Vulture picking a carcass

  • Weighing The Week Ahead: Will The Volatility Continue? [View article]
    Volatility is your Friend.

Check out UK:PFD in which I was holding much more than I was comfortable with at the back end of last week.

  • Should We Sell Taiwan In Exchange For China's Debt Forgiveness? [View article]
Frankly, the US is no position to prevent China taking Taiwan militarily if it so wished.

However, it is clearly not the Chinese intention to take it back this way. It is simply going to subsume it economically, at virtually no cost either financially, politically or diplomatically.

  • Could The Debit Crisis Spread To The U.S.? [View article]
    Spead to the US?

I actually believe it started in the US, and then the US declared monetary warfare on the rest of the World to deflect concerns over its critical fiscal situation.

But you are correct in as much as the focus cannot be deflected for too long and a run on the dollar is inevitable.

  • Is This A Bear Market Rally? [View article]
"5. Like James, let me make my call: all of my equity money is in cash right now. When the S&P goes below 1000, I am going to back the truck up for large, dividend paying transnational companies: CCJ, BP, RIG, FCX, CVX, XOM."

The you are a fool. There are loads of opportunities out there.

I sold out my first tranch of Premiere Foods on Friday. They went up 40% in a single day, after going up 15% the day before and 5% the day before that. I expect to sell the rest next week as the rally run its course.

Next week I am also expecting to cash in the bank shares as they rally on news out of Italy. If I don't return more than 10%, I will eat my hat. I have traded in and out of these half a dozen times in the last couple of months.

There is absolutely loads of money to be made in the markets at the moment. Volatility and uncertainty is your friend.

  • The Wage Gap With China Continues To Shrink [View article]
I think the advantages you sight particularly transportation are disappearing much faster than your so called increasing competitiveness in terms of wages.

If the truth be know, Chinese skills have been rising faster than wages whilst the converse is almost certianly true for the US.

  • Beware Of Greeks Returning Gifts: Push Them Into Default [View article]
The US lack of competitiveness has little to do with Currencies.

The biggest problem is US Cars need to tow a bowser just to get to the grocery store.

  • Plan Or No Plan, The Situation In Europe Continues To Worsen [View article]
It must be very confusing for Americans to get their heads around economies of countries where there employ the arcane principal of financing through taxation.

Blockhead, the UK inflation rate cannot continue to rise from 5.2%, as there is a 2.5% VAT rise due to drop out of the index at the end of the year.
