    I did not find the detailed split of the insurance income like you mention in the chart and report that I found. If I find the detailed info I will post it here again. Thanks for the note.

    Thanks Greyowl for the comments. Though I agree that the Chinese government propped up their banks to be on the top I doubt they would be able to keep it that way for too long. You are right. Not many Chinese banks operate internationally.

    I agree with your first item there.Today "Quants" (for Quantitative Analyst) are hot in the markets.These are folks who have financial engineering or Ph.D. degrees and make all the models that are in use today at most financial institutions.Oh by the way those Quants make a lot of moolah too...

    Glacier Bank may come out fine out of this mess since they operate in states like Montana,Wyoming,Dakota... etc.The stock is holding pretty good when compared to other banks of similar size.So far they havevn't announced huge losses and their loan portfolio is ok.
