Professional IT manager and project manager, formerly supported systems used in the Investment Banking industry, but I am not by any means a finance or investment professional.
I have not been successful in finding an informational advantage over the rest of the investing crowd (I am impressed with those of you that have). I have instead focused on finding situations in which companies with sound long-term prospects have been bid down by short-term sellers. This tactic, combined with sound personal finance, and conservative asset allocations implemented through index funds, make up the bulk of my approach.
I am a medical professional, but I have been studying investing for many years so that I can control my own portfolio. DGI seems to be the best way for me to invest for my retirement while being able to sleep at night.
I have also been successfully trading cash secured puts for extra income. I share my experience on my websites, Tradingcsps.com and my blog Tradingputs.com.

My goal as a writer for SA is to contribute what I can and learn even more. I enjoy looking beyond the "key statistics" and getting into the psychology of a company. I appreciate any sort of feedback to my articles, positive or negative.
