ABOUT
David Neubert is co-founder of Kapitall,an investment platform that combines a friendly investing experience with tools to build skills.
He has worked in international finance for over 15 years inv arious locations including New York, London, Tokyo and Sao Paolo. Using a methodology he developed while trading equity derivatives in Brazil, he has worked with technology and quantitative methods to automate proprietary trading systems.
From 1993 to 2003 he worked at Morgan Stanley and was named a Managing Director in 1998. Mr. Neubert held various positions at Morgan Stanley including Head of Global Portfolio and Program Trading, Head of Latin American Equity and Derivatives Trading, Head of European ...More Automated Market and Making, and Head of Macro Proprietary Trading. Of many notable accomplishments during his career was the spearheading the opening of trading operations for Morgan Stanley in Sao Paolo, working on due diligence teams for acquisitions, overseeing the first automated arbitrage and trading systems for Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs),and successfully combining all equity electronic market making portfolios,portfolio trading risk and index arbitrage under one worldwide function. After leaving Morgan Stanley, David took a two-year position at Lehman brothers as Managing Director, Head of Equity Trading Strategy and Technology at Lehman Brothers from 2003-2005.
He also worked in Principal Equity Investments and Emerging Market Fixed Income Derivatives at Chemical Bank (now JPMorgan Chase). He was a summer intern at Meiji Life in Tokyo, and has worked on optimization software at Bates Engineering in Glendale, California.
Since “retiring” from Wall Street in early 2005, David has tried many different activities from starting The Panelist.com, a website about socially conscious investing, to working with school children to learn economics and math via understanding the stock market and corporate structure.
Mr. Neubert holds a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard’s KennedySchool of Government. In 1988, he graduated 6th in his class and received BA with honors in Economics from Pitzer College in Claremont, California. In addition, he has studied applied math and statistics and speaks Spanish and Portuguese. He manages a private equity portfolio and remains an active trader for himself, friends and family.
He serves on the boards of Dining Entertainment Group (Brother Jimmy’s BBQ), New World Foundation, Green Drinks NY and Performance Space 122.
David Neubert was born and grew up in Pacific Grove,California, and finished high school as an AFS exchange student in Rosario,Argentina. David has studied or worked in Sao Poalo, Tokyo, London and New York. In 2010 he left New York and settled in Seattle with his wife, Natalie.

By combining the first “drag and drop” investing interface with engaging design, we intend to make the stock market a fun place to grow for a whole new generation of investors. Much in the same way Apple popularized personal computing and the Wii broadened the reach of gaming, we believe this will help more people than ever connect with the world of investing.
