David is Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Kalorama Wealth Strategies, LLC, a fee-only investment advisory and financial planning firm in Washington, D.C. David founded Kalorama Wealth in 2005.
David specializes in the development and implementation of investment and retirement plans, and the prudent management of assets, the essential building blocks necessary to achieve financial goals. He also assists clients with other aspects of their financial planning, including cash flow and net worth analysis, insurance review, tax analysis, and estate plan review.
David is uniquely qualified to advise individuals regarding their investments and financial planning matters. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP)TM professional and a member of the Financial Planning Association; Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder, with membership in the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Washington, D.C.; and formerly a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the State of Maryland.
David has appeared in The Washington Post’s “Ask the Experts” column and The Wall Street Transcript, and has been quoted in The Journal of Financial Planning and Wealth Manager.
Since 1999, David has been an adjunct professor in the Department of Finance and Real Estate in the Kogod School of Business Administration at the American University. Teaching assignments have included an under-graduate personal finance course, as well as graduate and under-graduate courses in real estate principles and investments.
David received a Master of Science in Accounting from American University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Towson University.
