    Thanks, Elliott. After Fortune asked me to write a slightly different top on that piece for their website, I thought a little harder about what I had been saying and, for the sake of completeness, added a fourth book to the list, Charlie Kindleberger's Manias, Panics and Crashes. (I adjusted my own site, economicprinncipals.com, accordingly.) the result underscrores your point: in financial markets, the central development of out time has been the Samuelson/Fama random walk argument and, of course, the discovery of various profitable exceptions to it, many of which are highlighted in the Lo/Hasanhodzic book.
