Acer, Sony (SNE), HP, Toshiba, and Nokia (NOK) skip Win RT due to MSFT Surface RT. DELL, others plan on <50k units http://goo.gl/ehGwr

    • eldaedhel: Not sure it is because of Surface. I think it is more linked with the shortage in Qualcomm chips

    • Dennis Baker: Not sure about all of them, but Acer has come out and said specifically it was the Surface RT. http://goo.gl/ZxMlS

    • Dennis Baker: < 50k units from half a dozen player is a rounding error compared to iPad sales. Surface RT is carrying this more or less alone.

    • eldaedhel: MSFT is going to buy market share. In the future you'll have only 2 choices for WinRT: high-end NOK tablet, or low-priced Surface

    • Dennis Baker: From what I understand, the Surface RT is more or less a premium/ high end offering. Doesn't leave a ton of room for Nokia's margins.

    • eldaedhel: Surf. is high-end product with low price :p NOK's tablet could have better design, better capabilities (indoor positioning), higher price
