Dick Davis is a widely known and highly respected market commentator. He founded the "Dick Davis Digest" in 1982, one of the nation's most successful investment newsletters (he no longer has an affiliation). He pioneered in-depth stock market reporting on radio and television in the mid-'60s to the mid-'80s, broadcasting as often as 5 times a day. His was television's first daily in-depth market report, winning the Janus award for the nation's best business reporting, and laying the groundwork for the popular PBS "Nightly Business Report". Mr. Davis also wrote a three times a week stock market column for the "Miami Herald," which was syndicated by Knight Ridder to some 100 newspapers for over 10 years.
